After failing to make his sixth-grade, Staten Island basketball team due to his limited jumping ability and speed, Dr. Schaeffer decided to pursue a career in medicine. Seventeen years later, he became specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is triple boarded in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Schaeffer co-founded CNY Spine and Pain Medicine, LLC because he values his freedom to interact with patients individually. He approaches each patient’s care on a unique, personal level and enjoys his conversations with patients.
